NETELLER really taking 6-8 weeks?

Requested a larger withdrawal on the 16th, a day before NETELLER shuts it's doors completely to us in the US. Hadn't received it yet, so I called their VIP dept. They told me that they're backlogged so badly, that they're estimating 6-8 weeks for cashier's checks to be sent out!

That's horrible!

They are saying that you can get an EFT within 2 weeks (I'm approaching day 7 on one). It does absolutely suck-but if they have as many clients as I think they do, this was bound to absolutely overwhelm them.

We're in a state of transition right now, so we're all kind of stuck in line.

Illini-- Believe they stated it could be up to two weeks for EFT payouts.

to be honest, as long as they giveus an accurate timeline and actually pay up, I would much rather have that than have them stiff us. My hope is that people outside of the US continue to use Neteller so that they can continue to make money and use it to pay those of us back in the US

They told me if I wanted to speed-up the delay time, try an EFT, as right now those are only 2-3 weeks back. However, if they get an increased request for EFTs, that wait will also be longer.

They did try to calm me down by stating that all funds are held in escrow and that they're governed by some fucking UK authority and that the funds are perfectly safe.

I just want to plant my fist in any of our politician's faces, right now.....

Hopefully, they are just liquidating their more long-term investments so that they can make cash payouts. Makes sense, and no reason to doubt them at this point. If a company with no overhead except employees can't make a boatload of money charging the fees they charge to both books and players, with zero risk, then no business in the world will ever make money. This HAD to be a cash cow, I just hope they have integrity.

maybe they're just spending their time trying to find a processor that will be able to send thousands of transactions to the US without getting caught or breaking the law

I guess I'm not as worried, as I am just plain pissed off.

The fact that I can't get my hands on my funds for possibly 2 months, really irritates me.

Utter nonsense. Even if they have 2k clients asking for a w/d it should be done in 2-3 days by these methods. Only reason it takes longer cause these books don't have the money on hand. None of them do.They spend it..but houses.cars..gamble it away..and when the client asks for it, it's like pulling teeth. State of transition my ass...it's just an excuse...let i checked it takes me 2 minutes to write a check..or even if i need a bank check it takes 3 minutes...Stop sticking up for these books..they can accept deposites in 30 seconds they should pay in 20...

2k clients? Depending on the numbers that you believe, 60-80% of their customers were in the US (and I suspect this may be low).

I think they served a few more US clients than 30% of the registered posters who were on this forum on an NFL Sunday morning.

Yeah-it's frustrating, but with no hint of these pending busts, any business person would be an idiot to keep all this money in 100%\immediately liquid investments bearing little interest.

IM's post is nonsense in many ways, to name a few:

a) Neteller aren't a book.
b) Neteller's processors are named in the criminal complaint.
c) Neteller's assets are monitored by the FSA.
d) You writing a check, and Neteller sending international bank transfers are so different it's not even funny.
e) If you think they have just 2k clients you're crazy, misinformed, or flaming. I'd go with Option 3.

Like I said in the other neteller thread, if they stiff then they stiff. There's no point in panicing about it. HOWEVER, I don't think the signs point that way. Why would they still be doing the debit card payouts? Even when they had issues they got the cards going again. Why would they still be doing bussiness with non Americans? If you are going to stiff just close it down and don't pay anyone. I am not saying they won't but it would still surprise me at this point.

Why even use Neteller to withdrawal?
Why not use the Bank Wire Transfer withdrawal method? Seems a lot quicker, although it costs $60 at BetCris...I'd rather put up $60 to get my money within a few days than wait 6-8 weeks...

Well, that's easy to say now. However a lot of people who made transfers on Jan 16 and 17 don't have that luxury. The $$$$ is kind of frozen.

If those EFT withdrawals went through next week, I would be so damn happy. Had a horrible night in the NBA. ACk.

Took 3 business days for EFT to send to my bank. And it was for a $4,000 transfer EFT.
